A male cyclist has been taken to hospital following a collision with a car on this morning in Ballymena. Police confirmed the driver of the vehicle was cautioned at the scene of the incident.
A spokesperson for the Police Service of Northern Ireland said:
“Police received and responded to a report of a two vehicle road traffic collision in the vicinity of the roundabout at the Ballymoney Road, Ballymena, shortly before 9.30am today, Thursday 25th July.
”Colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service also attended the collision, which involved a car and a bicycle.
“The male cyclist was taken to hospital for medical assessment.
“The driver was cautioned at the scene.
“The road, which was closed for a time as emergency services attended the scene, is now clear.”
