The Causeway and Glens Community Foundation is thrilled to announce the launch of a bold new initiative to revitalise the community and voluntary sector across the Causeway Coast and Glens area.

This Foundation is stepping up with fresh energy and innovative fundraising, ready to inspire change and tackle today’s challenges head-on.

As the world moves beyond traditional funding methods and faces a cost-of-living crisis, two of the area’s powerhouse community networks—Causeway Rural and Urban Network (CRUN) and Northern Area Community Network (NACN)—have joined forces to create the Causeway and Glens Community Foundation.

For years, both networks have worked passionately to uplift their communities, championing community involvement and empowering locals to take action. Now, through this exciting partnership, they’re ready to tackle the future together!

“This is an incredible moment for the Causeway and Glens,” said William Colvin, newly appointed Chairperson of the Causeway and Glens Community Foundation. “Launching this collaboration between CRUN and NACN isn’t just about uniting our resources—it’s about sparking real, lasting change. We’re ready to empower and uplift our communities, building a stronger, brighter future.”

The Foundation is reaching out to people near and far, inviting individuals and organisations to get involved in supporting the Causeway and Glens’ communities. With an adaptable approach, the Foundation is ready to receive contributions of all kinds—financial support, in-kind contributions, or legacy gifts—to fuel projects in community sustainability, health and well-being, and nurturing the area’s rich sense of place.

The Foundation’s approach is dynamic and open to new ideas. Potential patrons, donors, and supporters are all welcome to join the conversation.

“We’re focused on maximising the impact of every contribution,” adds Colvin, “to make a powerful, positive difference for the people across our diverse communities.”

The Foundation is also looking to rally high-profile ambassadors with ties to the area, eager to establish a team of champions who want to see the Causeway and Glens flourish.
