Bushmills Post Office set to reopen at new location

Centra and post office in Bushmills

The Post Office has today confirmed the Bushmills branch is set to reopen at a new location, bringing back essential postal services to the North Antrim community.

The new branch, situated at Centra, 56 Main Street, Bushmills, BT57 8QA, is scheduled to open its doors on Wednesday, September 11, at 9am.

The reopening follows the closure of the previous branch at 67 Main Street in February due to the resignation of the Postmaster.

The new location will operate alongside the retail counter of the convenience store, offering a convenient one-stop shop for local residents.

Adam Shillcock, Post Office Partner Account Manager, expressed enthusiasm about the return of the service:

"We are delighted to soon be restoring a Post Office to Bushmills as we know how important a Post Office is to a community."

The new branch will significantly extend its service hours, providing 53 hours of Post Office service a week, compared to the previous nine hours. The extended hours include Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 1pm. This expansion offers an extra nine hours of service per week, including Sunday morning and later weekday closing.

The move is part of a broader effort to ensure that communities like Bushmills have easy access to postal services. The Post Office's commitment to restoring services in the area reflects the importance of these services to local residents and businesses.

The new Bushmills Post Office is expected to be a welcome addition to the community, providing not only postal services but also a convenient place for residents to handle their daily errands.
