One year on from the official opening of the Ballymena Skate Park in September 2022, Rawee returns this weekend to host a fantastic Skate Jam event, with competitions open to all!

Designed to cater for all of the main disciplines of wheeled sport such as skateboard, BMX, scooter and inline, along with disabled access requirements, the town's Skate Park located at People's Park has been a massive hit with young and old since Council's investment delivered on a much-anticipated streetscape facility.

The local skate park is suitable for all ages and skill levels, featuring a mix of street and transition elements with suitable flow between areas.

The Rawee Ballymena Skate Jam is scheduled to take place on Saturday (23rd September) from 11am to 5pm.

A spokesperson for Rawee, commented:

"Following the huge success of our Portrush Jam which was part of the Coaster Portrush event, the Ballymena Jam is set to be one not to be missed!"

"We are also extremely pleased to be able to bring a Female Comp to the jam this year. Make sure you don't miss this one!"

Rawee are excited to host six competitions in this year's Jam, including:

• 12 and Under

• 16 and Under

• Over 16

• Female Comp

• Hippie Jump*

• Best Trick*

Registration for 12 and Unders is between 11am and 11:15am.

Due to the nature of this activity, inclement weather may lead to the event being cancelled.
