Fireworks in night sky

Get ready for a night of frights and delights as People's Park in Ballymena transforms into a haunted haven for the annual Hallowena event on Wednesday, 30 October, from 6pm to 8:30pm.

Organised by Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, this year the event promises to be more thrilling than ever with an array of activities designed to entertain attendees of all ages!

For those seeking a less intense experience, Quiet Time tickets are available from 5:30pm to 6pm, offering a calmer start to the evening's eerie festivities.

- Kids Disco: A dance floor where little ghouls and ghosts can boogie the night away.

- Spooky Walkabout Characters: Characters straight out of your nightmares will roam the park, adding to the Halloween atmosphere.

- Sensory Play: An area dedicated to younger visitors or those with sensory sensitivities, offering a touch of Halloween fun in a gentle setting.

- Kiddies Funfair: Rides and games tailored for the younger crowd, ensuring fun for the little ones.

- Live Music: Tunes to set the mood for a night of spooky celebration with six-piece band Anthem, and DJ NI.

Food stalls will also be on hand where visitors can indulge in sweet treats or savor hot food options to keep the Halloween hunger at bay.

The evening will culminate in a spectacular fireworks finale at 8:15pm, lighting up the Ballymena sky with colours and explosions, marking the end of the night's festivities.

Since relocating to People’s Park, the event has grown spectacularly and as a result there will be a cap on admission numbers to ensure everyone has a safe and comfortable night.

The event is ticketed this year for the first time and a pre-booked ticket is required for ALL attendees - no matter what age.

Tickets for 12 years and under are free and for 13 years and above the charge is £2 plus booking fee per person.

Ballymena's People's Park is gearing up to offer a memorable night where the community can come together to celebrate Halloween in a safe, fun, and frightfully entertaining environment.

With reduced capacity plus more content and entertainment all those attending are sure to have a spooktacular, fun-filled night!

The People’s Park and Skatepark will be closed to all members of the public on Wednesday 30 October for safe set up. For the safety of all in attendance, dogs, alcohol or fireworks are not permitted in the park. Under 16s must have a responsible adult with them.
