This Thursday, 7th November, from 9 AM to 9 PM, Ballymena will host its Annual Discount Day, organised by the Ballymena Business Improvement District (BID).
Shoppers can enjoy fantastic savings across the vibrant town centre, as local boutiques and national retailers offer a great range of deals, ensuring something for everyone.
From the lively high streets to the Fairhill Shopping Centre and Tower Centre, visitors can discover outstanding offers on fashion, homeware, gifts, dining, and jewellery. With a delightful mix of independent shops and well-known brands, it’s the perfect opportunity to treat yourself or find a unique gift for someone special.
Ballymena BID Manager Emma commented:
“This really is the best shopping day of the year and a fantastic day out. We’ve already heard from people across every county in Northern Ireland who plan to make the trip. Thanks to our incredible local businesses who come together to create these fantastic deals, it’s a memorable day that truly gives back to our customers.”
Roy Smyth, Chair of Ballymena BID and owner of Outdoor Adventure, added:
“Discount Day has grown from a small Church Street event into a town-wide celebration, and the excitement just keeps building. I encourage everyone to explore every street, step into stores they may have never visited, and discover new styles and unbeatable savings. It’s a day to uncover the full charm and variety of Ballymena.”
Visitors can enjoy free parking at Alexander Street Car Park, with proceeds supporting Stand Up to Cancer through the local cancer research shop. Additional accessible car parks throughout the town centre offer all-day parking from just £2.50, making it easy to visit for the day.
Whether coming from nearby towns or planning a road trip, Ballymena is easily accessible by car, train, or bus. Shoppers can also pick up a limited-edition Ballymena tote bag at the Harmony Hub (Bandstand) from 9am, available while stocks last. Live music from The Music Rooms will add to the lively atmosphere throughout the day.
Ballymena Discount Day is not only a fantastic shopping event; it’s a celebration of the community and the businesses that make the town so special. With both local and national stores participating, it’s a great way to support the local economy while enjoying remarkable offers.
