The Ballymena Mini Twelfth Parade is set to take place today, Saturday 1 July, setting off from The Harryville area and proceeding through the town centre.
Travel disruption is expected between 12.15pm and 2pm will the parade makes its way, and local service businesses are reminding customers with appointments on Saturday afternoon to plan accordingly.
Ulsterbus said some services may be subject to delays/diversions between 12:30 and 14:00. In particular service numbers 324 A,B,C, D & 218 may be impacted.
Today's parade organised by Ballymena District LOL No8 will set off from Wakehurst Road, Harryville, at 12:30pm and proceed along the following route:
Queen Street - Salisbury Square - Harryville Bridge - Waveney Road - Galgorm Road - North Road - Audley Roundabout - Ballymoney Road - Mount Street - Thomas Street - Fairhill Roundabout - Market Road - Broughshane Street - Broadway - Church Street - Bridge Street - Harryville Bridge - Henry Street -Larne Street - Larne Road - ending at Wakehurst Road around 2pm.
Ballymena District LOL No8 will be making a street collection during the parade and hosting a Family Fun Day between 2pm and 5pm at Wakehurst Playing Fields. All proceeds raised will get donated to local charity Mark Lynn CHD Foundation.
The Ballymena based charity raises funds, spreads awareness and provides support to families affected not only by CHD but other chronic illnesses, including Cerebral Palsy, Asthma, Cystic Fibrosis and Epilepsy.
