Ballymena Magistrate’s Court grants Forfeiture Order for £16,035 in favour of PSNI




On 20 May 2021, as a result of a Police Service of Northern Ireland proceeds of crime investigation, Ballymena Magistrates Court granted a Forfeiture Order in respect of £16,035.00 in favour of the Police Service of Northern Ireland.


The money had been seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act following a police search of a vehicle which the suspect had been observed in at the time. A quantity of herbal cannabis was also recovered.

Detective Sergeant Glenn from Economic Crime Unit said:
