BraveheartsNI, a charity dedicated to supporting individuals with congenital heart disease (CHD) across Northern Ireland, is set to celebrate its 10th anniversary with a spectacular gala ball at the Braid Arts Centre in Ballymena on November 23, 2024.
The event not only marks a significant milestone for the charity but also serves as a critical fundraising opportunity to further their life-changing work.
A decade of growth and impact
Since its inception, BraveheartsNI has grown exponentially, providing essential support to CHD patients and their families.
"We've seen changes and growth that we thought would take us another ten years to achieve," said Ballymena woman Clare Caulfield, founder and chairperson of the charity. “This growth has been fueled by the pressing needs of their community and the generous support from the public.”
A special mission: Training for maternity support
This year, BraveheartsNI has launched an ambitious project to raise £55,000 for the specialised training of Dr. Bronagh, who will become the first doctor on the Island of Ireland with expertise in supporting CHD patients through their maternity journey.
Dr. Bronagh will train for a year in Glasgow under the guidance of a leading UK CHD consultant, specialising in CHD MRIs and more importantly maternity support.
"This training will not only enhance our medical support but also change lives by offering new possibilities for our Bravehearts considering motherhood," explained Clare.
The gala ball: More than just a celebration
The gala ball promises to be an evening of joy and generosity, combining celebration with charity.
Attendees will enjoy performances by the renowned Irish band Pure Blarney and indulge in exquisite dining. "Why not make this your Christmas party? For just £60 per ticket, you can celebrate with us, enjoy fantastic entertainment, and support this incredible cause," the charity invites.
How to join the celebration
Tickets for the event are priced at £60, offering not just an evening of entertainment but an opportunity to make a real difference.
Businesses, families, and friends are invited to take a table, enjoy the party atmosphere, and help BraveheartsNI to kick-off the festive season with purpose!
The charity looks forward to welcoming supporters to share in their 10-year journey, celebrating achievements while looking forward to a future filled with hope and new beginnings for many Braveheart families.
