Members of Ballymena Chamber of Commerce and Industry joined with local retailers for a great night together in the Adair Arms Hotel for the Chamber’s annual Christmas Social on Wednesday night, 11th December.
Members and retailers enjoyed having a chat over a coffee, a glass of wine and some delicious mince pies!
Chamber Vice President Peter Houston was delighted to present a cheque for £3,767 to Muriel Thom, Marie Reynolds and Julie Martin representing the Ballymena Hospice Support Group. The money was raised at the chamber’s recent Ballymena Business Excellence Awards for The NI Children's Hospice.
Peter was also pleased to present prizes for the Christmas Window Dressing Competition to a number of town centre businesses.
Midtown Makers received the Highly Commended Certificate for their window which was decorated by Amanda and Lisa Wright (Lisa Wright Art).
Presentations were then made to Wyse Byse (Sally White), Alice K Beauty (Alice Kennedy) and The Party Mill (Louise Christie), whose excellent window displays seen them winning the three trophies on offer.
Ballymena Chamber would like to encourage the local community to support local retailers and hospitality venues in these last two weeks as Christmas approaches.
“Shop and socialise locally this Christmas!”
