In a heartwarming move to brighten the festive season for teenagers in need, Ballymena BID has announced its participation as an official drop-off point for the Digg Deep for Kids campaign.

The initiative aims to make Christmas special for those who might otherwise go without.

Located on Church Street, the drop-off point is easily accessible through the Midtown Makers store, situated on the first floor. Community members are encouraged to bring gifts that will resonate with teenage recipients, including:

- Gadgets

- Hot water bottles

- Beauty & makeup sets

- Water/sports bottles

- Books

- Craft sets

- Footballs

- Games

- Grooming items

- Headphones

- Lego

- Jigsaws/puzzles

- Rucksacks

The campaign has already seen a boost thanks to successful local fundraising events like the Fashion Show and Discount Day. With these funds, Ballymena BID has begun purchasing gifts from local retailers to ensure a meaningful impact.

"We're incredibly grateful for the support we've received so far," Emma McCrea, Manager at Ballymena BID commented. "Your contributions are more than just gifts; they are a beacon of hope and joy for many young people this Christmas."

Residents are invited to follow Ballymena BID's journey through their social media stories over the coming weeks, where updates on the campaign's progress will be shared.

"This is about coming together as a community to make a difference," Emma added. "Let's dig deep and make this Christmas season truly magical for kids who need it most."

For more information or to find out how you can contribute, visit Ballymena BID's office or check out their social media updates at Ballymena Means.

Together, we can turn the spirit of the season into something tangible and transformative for teenagers at this time of the year.
