Antrim's Six Mile Festival shines a spotlight on local musical talent

Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Mark Cooper is joined by Chris Flynn, The Junction Leisure and Retail Park and Deano Kelly to launch the Six Mile Festival.


The highly anticipated Six Mile Festival is set to take place across multiple stunning locations in Antrim from Friday 28 to Sunday 30 July, showcasing an exceptional line-up of local musicians and performers.


This year's festival promises an incredible celebration of home-grown talent, highlighting the vibrant music scene of Northern Ireland.

 


Headlining the festival is the legendary Nathan Carter, one of the most prominent figures in country music. With his captivating stage presence and soulful voice, Nathan Carter is set to deliver a mesmerising performance that will leave a lasting impression on all who attend.

Music enthusiasts will be treated to a showcase of extraordinary artists across all genres who will leave audiences spellbound with their talent and passion.


The festival offers an impressive array of Northern Ireland performers, including Susi Pagel, Red Eye Pariah, The Rising, Ryan Mac, String Ninjas, The Gate Crashers, Rwanda Shaw, Kai Lin, Landless Acapella Folk Group, Six Mile Orchestra, Tyler Michael & The 41's, Oonagh Clark, Jay Campbell, Copper Blue, Peach, Paula Kay, Orchard Ukes, and McCauley Trad Trio. These exceptional musicians represent the rich and diverse musical landscape of Northern Ireland, each bringing their unique style and energy to the stage.

"I am incredibly honoured to be a part of the Six Mile Festival, representing the rich musical heritage of Antrim. This festival is a fantastic platform for local artists to showcase their talent and build their experience. I can't wait to support Nathan Carter on the Saturday night, it will be the band's biggest gig to date!"

 

In addition to the incredible line-up of bands and solo artists, several choirs will add their melodic voices to the festival's enchanting atmosphere. The Antrim Kids Choir, Clare Chorale and Ballyclare Male Choir will captivate audiences with their harmonious performances, adding an extra dimension of vocal excellence to the event.
