The Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Alderman Stephen Ross recently visited the award winning Dunamoy Cottages and Spa in rural Ballyclare to congratulate them on their latest award.
This luxury family run 4 star business was recently crowned winners of ‘Best Self Catering (Large)’ at the Tourism Northern Ireland Awards.
Established in 2012, Dunamoy Cottages and Spa hosts a collection of beautifully restored 18th century stone cottages with access to luxury Elemis treatment led spa facilities which include a 10m spa pool, steam room, outdoor spa, solarium, and relaxation areas offering a private retreat for couples, families or friends wanting to enjoy an escape to the country.
These self-catering cottages have been enjoyed by visitors from across the UK, Ireland, Europe and America.
Specialising in group spa breaks Dunamoy is also used by range of local businesses from the Borough and further afield. A testament to owners Jamie and Stacey Hamill who pride themselves on their home from home service, their ethos is for visitors to ‘arrive a guest, but leave a friend’.
Continually adding to their guest experiences the most recent addition is the opening of Oak Tree Hall, a private function, event and conference facility providing a fabulous space for a range of activities from wellbeing to weddings.
Speaking during his visit Alderman Ross said:
“I would like to extend my congratulations to Jamie and Stacey and their team at Dunamoy on their most recent award success. These cottages offer everything and more for a luxury break.
"The tranquil setting on the outskirts of Ballyclare is the perfect location for relaxation, celebration and a place to unwind.
"I would encourage anyone who was thinking of a short break to check out this hidden gem at dunamoy.com and support our local businesses.”
