The site plan for a new housing development on Fry’s Road, Ballymena

An application has been lodged with Mid and East Antrim Borough Council for a new housing development on the former site of Braidside Integrated Primary School on Fry’s Road, Ballymena.

The application by Draperstown based KMBC Properties Ltd is proposing 44 new homes on the land, comprising 26 semi-detached and 18 detached units.

Developers say the benefits of the 1.4 hectares proposal includes an easily accessed location with key amenities nearby, mature residential area setting, and offers great connections beyond the site.

Neighbour consultation for the proposal expires on Thursday 30 September 2021, while the standard consultation expires on Tuesday 5 October 2021.

The proposed development is expected to get the green light when it comes before the Council’s Planning Committee.
